Quit being apostates and give me some real advice

ok, my subject is totally joking, but i really do need some advice.

i purchased a $7 dollar keychain digital picture viewer from ebay.

it arrived in the mail, i uploaded a bunch of pictures....and then realized its a piece of crap.

DON'T GIVE UP!!!

Although my r'ship with my JW sister has been strained at times, I have always let my niece know that I love her and as she's grown up, have always tried to stay in touch with her somehow. It can hurt sometimes, but if you make the effort, which may involve a bit of compromising around her parents, it can pay off.

Today we went shopping for her 16th birthday present. My niece hates the JWs as she can see that it's a cult, and she has even stood up to her mother on one occasion when she tried to stop us having contact. She has plans for the future and I am so proud of her.

So I can say from experience, if you make the effort, it can pay off!

there is another negative character aspect about freddy that ed dunlap once related to me.

freddy was practically crazed with the desire to be president of the wt society.

I would change the topic and then ask to be taken back to my car or home if the party persisted.

Would you print out a copy of a WT article on the "dangers of gossip" and hand it around as well?

He sounds like my father when he was an elder (and even when he wasn't). Not all elders blab, and not all elders wives gossip. My mother wasn't interested in hounding him for information. She used to say the other sisters would come to her to gossip but they'd know much more than she ever did!

But, if you're serious, maybe you should take it as a compliment, that women are attracted to you by what you write?

"Dropping In" at the local coffee shop on Saturday mornings

i have to admit, i have made it a bit of a habit in the last few weeks to find myself in the local starbucks right about the time that i know the service groups will be stopping for a "quick" break, which usually goes on for about 30 minutes.. as i am not da or df, i make a note to say good morning to them and show them how nice and relaxed i am sitting, slowly enjoying my coffee.

i even make a point to invite them to sit down with me, knowing that it will eat up a bit more of their time.

never a "theocratic" discussion, only about local happenings usually, talking about workouts (i am normally in gym clothes since i was either at the gym or going to the gym after coffee), or just discussing plans for the weekend.

if any of us forgot just how thick the average jehovah's witness can be, here's a little story.. my friend, a 28 year old jw, got into an accident about a year ago.

she hit a horse and killed it, wrecking her car.

she told everyone she knew that it was pitch black and she couldn't see the horse until the last second.
